Saint Pete Pride

St. Pete Pride parade and festival was held this past Saturday. The weather was partly cloudy, but managed to stay nice for the festivities, except for one brief sun shower. But, hey! This is Florida!

Checking out the booths lined up along Central Avenue before the parade began.

We went to the Una Voce pancake breakfast fundraiser first. Met a bunch of the boys there.

Dykes on Bikes led the parade, after the politicians.

This was the Kenwood Neighborhood Association float. Kenwood is one of the historic neighborhoods in St. Pete
This float was from a movie place . . . that tube is blowing popcorn onto the crowd.

Some of the local businesses were represented.

Our friends Scott and Greg decorated their Smart Car as a Smart Skate

This "Painted Lady" had painted on her top.

Partners of many years.

These motorized cooler scotters were cute!

We caught up with Lou as he was passing us, holding up part of the flag.

I'm not sure how long the flag is, but it stretched on for blocks!

See ya next year!

The Beach with a Pesto Chaser

Beautiful day for the beach! Good chop and good size waves! Got to use my bigger beach umbrella that I bought last February for the first time today. Enjoyed a relaxing afternoon. Had spaghetti with pesto, homemade by Wayner for dinner after we got back. Oink Oink!

I had a hankering for chocolate last night. My cupboards are pretty much bare, but I did have the ingredients for the no bake cocoa coconut oatmeal cookies. Dessert!

The Crimson Mask

THE CRIMSON MASK TRAILER from espfilms on Vimeo.

Joe brought me a copy of The Crimson Mask when he was in Tampa last week. I LOVED IT! Do you think maybe I'm a bit biased? He is one of the Directors of Photography.

Father's Day Weekend

We went to Orlando to see Gina in her Showcase Performance with the Performing Arts Institute. It was held at Rollings College in Winter Park. This is Gina's second year with the group. It was a hectic week for all, but the show was amazing! They bring in casting directors and choreographers from NYC to train the performers.

Gina sang two solos (Gimme Gimme and
Come To Your Senses) and a duet (Some Things Are Meant To Be) and a group number (All Girl Band) as well as some ensemble pieces too.

Jazz fingers . . . :-)

And for Father's Day I got to talk to all of the kids! Love yuns!

On Sunday afternoon, Wayne and I went to a backyard cookout. Wayne made his famous Roasted Shirmp and Orzo Salad, and I made Chochie's Chocolate Dream Cake.

Farewell Sushi for Nadia

Nadia will be leaving us this week. A group from work went out for dinner after work at Hook's in St. Pete. It was a fun time! We'll miss you, Nadia!
